When i play Squad i do play similar as you do, i even go fully into character so i feel more immersed (this is coming from a run and gun cod player), i haven't tried the new update since i've been playing other games recently, i might wanna try it out to see how it feels

just today i broke me headset when i played it for the first time ever. am gonna be back tomorrow after the super glue does its thing and after reading (at least sum of) the manual. gonna have a good time at it tomorrow.

This game definitely isn't one dimensional. A game like this does need some more content like maps and weapons, but it is by no means a bad game. It's the most fun fps game to be released in recent years.

My biggest issue with squad is that no matter what server you are in and no matter what squad you join or even create yourself, at least 4 out of 9 players in your squad will be completely numb for the entire game, unwilling to talk or even just do call-outs. Even when you are a Squad Leader, most of the time the only thing you will hear on your command channel will be crickets sitting in the fields of Yehorivka

I can't stand ICO personally and stepped away from this game months ago, however I find the consistent lack of optimisation to be the biggest slap in the face to the player base. The server browser breaks at will, audio bugs are a given, bluetooth headsets hate this game, desyncs happen often, certain maps are unplayable for portions of the playerbase with weaker hardware and even for those with good PCs most of the maps run inexcusably bad. Whatever about ICO, that can be adjusted in time to find the sweet spot, optimisation has been ignored for years. I have played since 2017 and never felt like this improved. Also OWI need to invest in running their own servers, having 5-6 reliable (though not always good) servers is no way to keep a community happy. Playing Squad feels like a massive commitment, wait for the game to launch, hope servers work, wait 20mins to join a server, game is almost over wait 10mins half-assedly playing because the good squads are locked, wait 5 mins to connect to the next game and hope you don't get booted by whitelist/VIP, join Squad and wait 5 mins for the game to actually start. That's all fine if you have a good match but after all that if you don't even have fun it feels pointless to want to play.

ill tell you, squad is an amazing game for new comers. i learned how to use a mortar and helped my team advance on an objective. the guy that taught me how to use a mortar in under 60 seconds is an amazing player. i have a learning disability and he said it in a way that my lil disabled brain could understand.

If you dont top frag in the squad as a marksman kit, you doin it wrong. Marksmans have powerful rifles and if your not killing every MG the moment it opens up, you need to swap to another kit.

I am sick and tired of european servers because people there either don't speak english or don't want to cooperate and for this i only play american but with high ping

What pushed me away from the game was it ended up being nothing like the game Karmakut played. Servers were awful and the roles were also awful. I hated joining a server as a new player, being forced into a lead position and having 10 people screaming orders like it was Afghanistan. That and it just felt too arcade like. We’d spawn, walk for 10 minuets, die and then have to respawn and walk again. A lot of the time I would just take my headset off and play mute because I couldn’t stand the toxicity. Shit was like a 2010 CoD lobby. I’ve had good games sure but mostly bad experiences so I haven’t played in quite a while.

Does Squad allow you to play as a Pilot? In the trailer I saw helicopter combat and I assume there is close air support.

Ngl I want that pmc faction and Germany and France. So much potential. Even that Vietnam mode that was developed a couple of years ago would be nice.
